Resin veneers

It is a simple, quick and painless technique aimed at restoring acquired or inherent micro-imperfections of the teeth. The material used is composite resin and the restoration can be direct (in one session) or indirect.

Aesthetic imperfections that can be treated with resin veneers are:

– discolored teeth

– the broken teeth

– the spaces between the teeth

– the correction of uneven teeth

– the slightly crooked teeth

Advantages

– Immediate recovery

– Minimal derailment of the teeth is required

– Cost lower than porcelain veneers

– Easy and quick repair in case of micro-damages

Disadvantages

-With use, they absorb pigments and the color changes.

-They are less resistant to external forces compared to natural teeth or porcelain.

What should we pay attention to after placing them, for long-term preservation

– Minimize smoking and consumption of coffee, tea, red wine and other substances

– Scholastic oral hygiene (brushing at least 2 times a day and flossing)

– Avoid oral solutions containing chlorhexidine.

– Avoiding bad habits such as biting nails, pencils or other hard objects, e.g. ice

– Review every 6 months
